Jack Loeks began his theatre career in 1944 with the PhotoNews and Midtown Theatre on Pearl Street in Grand Rapids, leasing the theater to run newsreels during WWII.
He went on to add more screens around town, including three drive-in theaters and the Studio 28 - 20 screen theater, which predated other megaplexes by 7 years.
John D. Loeks (Jack's son) assumed the Presidency in 1990. He developed Celebration! Cinema and IMAX despite talk of financial risk, showing that another generation of Loeks can be expected to revolutionize West Michigan's movie-going experience. John expanded the movie circuit from 50 to 135 screens.
J.D. Loeks, Chief Operating Officer, (John's son) first joined the company in 1999 for two years and again in 2005. He developed the company's Mission and Vision Statement.
Emily Loeks (John's daughter) joined the company in 2001 and leads the company's IMAX, Education and Community involvement efforts.
